I got a motorcycle in Houston and I live in San Antonio. It's the weekend and I have school on Monday at noon. I wanted to stay the weekend in Houston and get my plates Monday morning, then ride it back to SA. Am I able to register my vehicle in Houston despite being a resident of another Texas city? Or do I have to go back to SA, register the bike, then come back to Houston?

I don't live there, but... The registration is effective for the state, not the city, so if you have proof of address, the DMV should not care in what city it is processed.

You can only register a vehicle in the county in which you live, unless that's changed recently. DMV handles titles, County Tax Offices handle registration.

What address are you using for your title application? Form 130-U can be used for both the title and registration. I suppose you could title/register the vehicle at any address in TX, but everything (the actual title, annual registration notices, etc.) would be mailed to that address.
