Agreed, the better schools are on the Eastern side, but that also comes with a big drawback...the traffic getting in and out of Kingwood SUCKS!

If, in the distant future, METROrail was extended to the northern suburbs, you think Kingwood would be a good place for a station?

Will never happen, but if it did, I could see it going into Humble, which encompasses a pretty big area. Humble has 3 Park and Rides so if Metro Rail were to ever happen, which it won't, Humble would definitely be a candidate.

One possibility could be to put a station on the other side of 59 from Kingwood at the community college campus or something like that. Then Kingwood residents could drive there?

East Asian countries have higher population densities so they have way, WAAY better public transportation.

Why would the light rail line extend all the way to Kingwood? It's much slower than a commuter line.

If it was stopping at the airport and/or Halliburton on BW8? (I know some people living in Kingwood work at IAH and/or Halliburton)

That doesn't help getting out of Kingwood. If you are in the back of Kingwood it takes forever to get out.
Other than The Woodlands, the master planned communities have planned badly on traffic management. Not many places worse than Highway 6 in First Colony and Nasa One in Clear Lake.

I am interested in this as well, but thinking of a budget around $550K with some wiggle room.

And to specify a little more, not looking south of Rice Village area. Also, I would consider Rock Creek or Benders Landing to be master planned (I actually think their websites say master planned).

Looking for areas you can truly build/buy a custom house where they all look different.
