How much do you like your brother?

You should probably rethink this trip.

OP.... as of now it looks pretty unlikely you will accomplish anything if you come here. Ag is right, you should rethink this trip.

With the changes in Harvey and the storm now upgraded. . . . Chances for so much rain. If I were you I'd delay the trip. Make it another weekend. I know we'll have flooding and power outages. Hotels will be booked with people evacuating from the coast. . . Because even if this isn't a hurricane right now, people do that.

Don't come. Don't risk your family when conditions in Houston are so unpredictable. Be safe in San Antonio and come another time.

Please do not come. I learned my lesson during the Memorial Day flood. I was stranded in the parking lot of a laundromat all night because I was stupid enough to believe that I could beat the rain and that my truck was big enough to handle anything if I couldn't. I as wrong on both accounts. It's not worth it. At the very least it's inconvenient, at worst deadly. I'm saddened to remember those who didn't survive previous floods and am scared for those who may lose theirs in this coming one. I truly hope it doesn't come here, but that doesn't seem very likely. Don't risk it.
