Interestingly both Crystal Beach (on the Bolivar Peninsula) and Jamaica Beach (on Galveston Island) are in the Galveston school district. For Jamaica Beach they go to school in Galveston. For Crystal Beach they go to Crenshaw K-8 in Crystal Beach (all up on stilts) but for high school have to take the ferry to Ball High in Galveston.

I love both Crystal Beach and Jamaica Beach, but for the convenience Jamaica is definitely more preferred.

Speaking of the Bolivar Peninsula, half is zoned to Galveston schools (Crenshaw and Ball) and the eastern half is zoned to High Island ISD. I wonder which school district Bolivar families prefer?
