Did I miss it? The Woodlands schools didn't even make the list. Wow, that's got to be a stunner for the amount of taxes and fees they pay up there.

Not surprised by the Top 16, they've always been consistantly the best in the Metro.

Apparently not. TWHS is in Conroe ISD and all their other high schools are on the list.

But yeah, there's Forest Brook High on the list. Oh, and my HS alma mater, Texas City. Amazing.

After reading the provisions for results, I'm skeptical of the conclusion as bias. It seems to be missing the human element of judgement. It's hard to make a personal judgement without visiting each school and interveiwing with the staff and administrators.

No surprise that the common denominator within the Top 10 (other than the magnet schools) is the % Econ Dis is less than 10%

As in, what, judging which bubble to fill in on the standardized tests? That's all public school is anymore. Everything revolves around the test. I guess it's easier to do that than actually teach kids.

Default schools

Lets see Friendswood high school was ranked #7 on the top ten list last year and now in one year its #25.SAT scores are the same .I guess it must be that lack of diversity score was brought to someones attention!

Yes, a teacher friend explained some of the test questions and they are terrible. WWI story - how did it get started? He explained that it was NATO alliance that promised to protect our friends and if war started, we will help our neighbors which will lead US involvement in Europe. The correct TASK test answer is just because, "the president got shot". True but that's like reading one bar line in the bar code.
