Just read in The Chronicle (this past weekend) that Costco is coming to Cypress. It will be off 290 next to the Gringo’s.

They've owned the land there for a few years already. The planning commission just recently approved their building plans. This is purely a guess based on what I've read, but it will probably be next summer/fall before it opens. Mostly waiting on 290 construction to be complete.

That's good news It will make it easier for the Cypress/Hockley/Waller folks to shop there. I don't live far from the Gessner/Willowbrook location, but the new location will be easier for me to get to should I ever get around to renewing my membership.
