My boyfriend and I recently moved to Houston from Los Angeles. So far so good, I am loving Houston. We decided to leave L.A. because we needed a change. California was just to expensive and we wanted to prepare ourselves for the future. So thats why we picked houston. Don't get me wrong I love So.Cal but its just not getting any better over there. Basically, I would like to know if there are any other couples who have recently moved here(houston) from L.A. for the same reasons or just because?

Well not necessarily a young couple but my husband, kids and I moved here from Southern Ca. last year for the same reasons as you. We have been very happy with our decision no regrets here.

Welcome to you and your boyfriend.

My husband and I have been here exactly 1 month from Simi Valley. It's OK. I wouldn't say I love it, but I think a lot of my feelings have to do with being homesick. we're 27 & 28. Things sure are different here.

NEWSFLASH - TO CALI TRANSPLANTS
Texas is not California!! We may have our similarities, but that doesn't mean it's the same. Leave your whining at California's door. Or bring it, knowing that many of us have to say about it is simply:

The people here are different. A lot nicer, everything is green, freeway system is horrible. Everything is different but I don't think I would go back to Cali.
