I am a Verizon customer that travels the 610W loop southbound during rush hour around 5pm(unfortunately). I often listen to podcasts on my drive and always seem to hit a dead spot by Memorial park and continuing until I get past the Galleria. This happens every day to me. Does anyone else experience this?

Yep. Daily, going the opposite direction. Galleria to Memorial.

Crazy this happens in the middle of a large urban area nowadays. Wonder what the issue is. It's not like there are geographical barriers. Could it be the buildings?

Do you get the same effect when there's less cars on the freeway? It may be a network congestion issue, I find I get more dropped calls and internet issues when there's a ton of people in the same area, like at sporting events for instance.

a lot of the podcasts apps will let you buffer the episodes so this isn't a problem. If not, you can download them as well.
