I really appreciate your help.
In this area of Houston, you should be able to find a good 2 bedroom apartment in this price range.

Good luck with your shopping, regardless, and welcome to Houston.

I'm in the same boat - moving to Houston sept 8th and have had trouble finding any good ratings on apartmentratings.com - have decided to stay at extended stay hotel ($40/night) so that i can take my time and scope out any area I'm interested in. BTW, looking for a studio/1BR, month to month, $600, possibly furnished until I can purchase a home and send for the rest of my family.

I´m a young single woman from Spain and I have been living for 3 year in the 12707 Memorial Bend Place (77024).As I´m living by myself I was looking for a safe place but location was one of my priorities (It´s between Memorial Dr. and Beltway 8). The area is wonderful (The new City Centre mall is really close, you can walk...), the Terry Hersey Park is just on the back of the complex, the complex is really quiet and clean and the people is really polite. I own my unit and I think that 80% of the community is owner but I know that there are some units that are for rent. You should check the complex!!!
