So has anyone else noticed how wonderful the Houston weather has been lately? Tonight my family went to the park from 5:45 pm to 6:45 pm and the weather couldn't have been any more perfect.

Since the weather here gets so many complaints all summer, I thought it might be a refreshing change to have a thread where something nice was being said instead.

I'm curious if you are a native Texan. I just relocated here from MI and am an original Floridian. I find that the TX natives mostly complain about the heat and lack of seasons and all of us from up north find it to be the next best thing to a tropical paradise. But, I was the same when I lived in FL. You don't know how good it is until you leave-of course, MI is pretty darn cold-anyone would come running toward warm weather.

That aside-it's just been gorgeous!! No humidity and the sun just shines everyday....I've waited seven years to move here and it was truly worth the wait!!!

I look at the weather back home and just laugh---versus being truly sad checking the weather here back in MI-which we did for the past 2 years!!

No, I'm originally from California but I've also lived in Wisconsin, Alabama (briefly for work), Colorado, Washington State, and Oregon.

Yeah my wife and I love this weather in the spring, fall and winter
Our window never closes and constantly we get nature cooled and unconditioned relatively fresh air.

And just think, it will only get better from here! Through December, it should be mild with low humidity, with only occasional blips of wet. I used my car's seat heaters for the first time this season and loved it.

Yeah I absolutely love it. It's perfect outside. Now if only I didn't have such terrible allergies and could sleep with my windows open.

Houston has great weather from late September through May. Even the summers have lots of sunshine, albeit, humid and hot. But even during those months, I enjoy being outside. With beer in hand, sometimes wine, I wear shorts, and sandals, and no shirt! The breeze feels great on my body; my wife hates the outdoors then, but she can't do what I do. Well, I guess she could, but that's a different topic!

I also enjoy the summers because the climate here allows us to grow plants all year, have green lawns usually all year. I turned my backyard into my own oasis, lush water garden, bermuda lawn, cut with a powered reel mower as well. Thyme, oregano, basil all fresh almost all year. It is great to be able to be outdoors in Houston!

That's why I'm starting allergy shots next week. With weather like this, I don't want to be imprisoned indoors!
