Coventry is the high end of Pioneer/Plantation. They have a good reputation. Do you have a realtor?

Coventry is part of MHI which consist of 3 other collections. They are Pioneer, Plantation and Carmel which is their higher end product. MHI has been in the home building industry since 1988.

Coventry builds a good home. They tend to put more product (or better products) in their homes, for less money than many other builders charge. I'm not sure why; maybe because they are locally owned & operated (and still privately held--a real rarity nowadays). Maybe they don't have to report quarterly & annual results like the big public builders, so they can put more effort into a nicer home, and less into making shareholders happy.

I do know that two of the highest regarded builders in Houston are David Weekley Homes and the MHI group (Plantation, Carmel, Coventry, etc). And they are also two of the largest builders who are still privately owned and based in Houston. Home-town pride?

They probably did not meet what the developer wanted, maybe the cost to play in Telfair was more? who knows. Riverstone and Telfair are built by different developers.

Carmel is their inner loop division.

Like stated, good builder. It's MHI's higher end suburban homes.

While looking at homes in Sienna Plantation, the differences between Plantation and Coventry where nice. The layout was better and upgrades where nicer. Keep an eye on their inventory homes, they have great discounts.
