DH is looking at the possibility of switching insurance coverage from United Health Care to Humana Health Care. I am very unhappy with this possibility but DH's employer has cut health benefits because of the current economic situation. We cannot afford the 1k+ monthly premiums.

We do not know anything about HHC - the only thing I know about it is that it often showed up as a corporate sponsor for work I did in San Antonio during the early 90s.

If you have or have had this coverage, how has it been working with them and your providers? I've never had any problems with UHC but did with Blue Cross. UHC covered just about everything and all the doctors we wanted to go with.

Thanks!

I think that you will find very little difference in coverage levels or networks between Humana and United. You will most likely see the same providers in both networks. Humana is smaller than United if that makes any difference to you.

(I have worked for both as a clinical case manager)
