Default Need advice on place to live, working in Jacinto

Hi Everyone, I am considering a great paying job as a machinist in Jacinto. I need a little advice on towns with an easy commute and are safe. I dont want to worry about my wife driving through unsafe surrounding neighborhoods in the area. Our price range is around $175,000. Schools are not really an issue (only for resale) as we have no children. Also, we are in our mid to late 30's and like to eat out and sight see every once and a while, dont know if that will have much of an influence on suggestions. We have been to Austin ( Round Rock, Leander) area and really liked it alot. We are planning another trip to Texas very soon and would like to see some of the suburbs of Houston.

Thanks

Turk is on a distinguished road
Mont Belvieu has great schools and is growing, no crime problem I am aware of. Just down I10 a ways.... Otherwise Channelview is mixed on crime, but its the only other one I'd consider recomending. Hard to recomend without know what kind of drive time you want. There's a couple leads for you though.
