Wrong!, the only areas I can honestly say that's better than Sugarland is River Oaks, any of the inner loop villages, West U, Rice area, parts of belaire and "maybe" The woodlands. Anything else is a reach, people just hating on Sugarland.

Let's just be honest, It's hard to beat the all around living you can get in Sugarland PERIOD!

btw; Sugarland's zoning is second to none

Let's be honest. North of Alt 90 doesn't really count to the average Sugar Land resident anyways.

I disagree. While I think Sugar Land is nice, and I love the fact its an incorporated city. I can think of a number of other suburbs just as nice, with better demographics than Sugar Land. It's too 'man-made' for my tastes. Reminds me of Plano, TX. It's like Plano if Plano were half Asian (and sat right next to South Dallas.)

There is nothing special about the area suburbs. They are all basically the same.

Kingwood, The Woodlands, Sugarland, Cypress, and Pearland are all just large master planned areas with big box stores and bland chain restaurants that are eating away at any kind of natural beauty our city has to offer. There is plenty of space to build within the beltway yet people continue to build further and further out.

I don't think anyone chooses Sugar Land because they think it is prettier than other Houston suburbs. It is just prettier here than I expected it to be. It is the combination of variables that add up to a great place to live. Note I am not saying Sugar Land is the *only* nice Houston suburb, just one of them. I'm just really happy with my family's choice considering we picked this place long distance using Web research.

Don't kid yourself, Sugarland is the model all Houston suburbs try to emulate. when we moved to Katy all I would hear is "Katy will be the new Sugarland".
