It's refreshing to see a young pitcher on this team with an upside that we haven't traded away yet.

No matter what happens I'd like to see Tejada and/or Lee traded in the offseason for some prospects. The farm system is empty right now. Lee could go to Boston to DH in place of David Ortiz. Don't know what happened this year, but Papi couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. A change might do him good.
The problem is, we'd have to wait for the minors to fully develop once again. Ed Wade needs another good draft next year. Some of the guys we drafted last year will probably be ready during next season. And we can't afford to give guys away.

So how are you folks liking the new Katy Freeway??

I'm planning to come down in a couple of months. Can't wait to drive the final product.

Remember how "giving away" Glenn Davis turned out?

If you think of it you'll be in some big time money. Expand that range a little bit and I'll be having real Chicago deep dish and Imo's from St. Louis, and it wouldn't be any different from getting it delivered from around the corner. We'll send them some kolaches and Tex-Mex in return, natch.

Smooth sailing from Eldridge in. Right at 610 it backs up, but just get off before and shoot into downtown through the park.

It wasn't so smooth this evening (reverse commute). A drop or two of rain, and all the sudden you've got twenty-five lanes of blue_haired octogenarians timidly peeking over their steering wheels and riding their brakes and driving at the speed of molasses on a cold day. I tried to take a shortcut on Memorial, but good god, what a mess. A commute that normally takes 25 minutes took an hour. Now I know what those poor saps who live off 290 must feel on a daily basis. How can anyone stand an hour commute each way? I just can't wrap my head around that. How awesomely big and cheap does a house need to be in order to justify that car time commitment?

My DH does it....We don't want to be anywhere near the craziness of a big city. I'm sitting on outside on my patio right now, cup of coffee, sun coming up, pelicans and gulls streaming by with the sound of the water, palm trees "swishing"....I can't get that close to the city! So for him....he says it is totally worth the commute.
Oh yeah...having a "fun" car to drive doesn't hurt either!

I can't be the only person in the city with no cable and an internet connection cutting in and out all day, can I?

Yay Comcast.

This blows.
