Where do you jog, walk or bike in Sugar Land a short walkable distance from your house?
Particularly in First Colony, Greatwood and New Territory?

- We don't count: Road side, pavement and neighborhood roads don't count.
- We do count: Parks, lakes/ponds with trails around, green areas, near-channel paths.
- We may count: trails around golf courses if they are allowed to jog on.

To me the New Territory is probably the best jogging area a walkable distance. There are 2 lakes, one of which has the circle trail (around 2 miles). Then goes the trail from the lake down to the NT West, which is 2 more miles.

The second best area is the Telfair: they have few lakes with master-planned trails around, suitable for a short jog.

There is a small bike-jog suitable park down on University Blvd and Commonwealth Blvd. But it is not exactly close-by the houses.

What else is worth mentioning that would be located a short distance from the housing area? Please share your experience.

To give you a better perspective, here is the jogging or walking trails, that I know. Many are concrete-paved, either along-side the lakes or channels. Only two are the actual parks.

Oyster Creek is really long... it's kind of to Fort Bend what Buffalo Bayou is to Harris County. I wish more of it had trails... maybe eventually. For now, Oyster Creek Park / Lost Creek is pretty nice, also Mosley Park which goes into Missouri City but isn't very long. Of course, New Territory has some nice trails around its lakes. (attached, photo I took of Mosley Park)
