The lid of our garbage can was blown away by the wind when we were out of town. Does anyone know where to buy a replacement lid? I dont want to spend money on a new can if a lid is available. I checked Lowes, no.

We need the size/shape of your trash can. Is it square? round? 32 gallons? 36 gallons? Plastic/rubber or galvanized?

Sadly mine is attached to the city supplied receptical and kept behind bars right until the last minute to stop the local bum population spreading it's contents across the street in their fruitless search for valuables. All the poor sods are likely to get out of mine is broken glass and fish heads.

After my first two garbage cans lost their lids (not blown away, but I believe tossed away like garbage by the waste management crew) I broke down and paid $70 for one with an attached lid. I now use the other two for overflow of non-smelly trash - like diet coke and beer boxes (of which there are alot of - lol)

Keep your garbage can in/near your garage with the lid on. The morning of trash pickup, take out your trash can sans lid.
Problem solved.
