LOL - I am sensing a theme!

Yes and no. Read here: “Houston, We Have a (Zoning) Problem” by J. Brian Phillips

You actually saw the "fireworks" light show in the dome before Bud Adams had them replaced with more seats that never got used.

You paid to see Dan Pastorini, the Tyler Rose and Bum.

Default Unique street names and speed limits

You know you're from Houston when...

You know how to correctly pronounce Fuqua and Kuykendahl.

You move to another city and realize with some chagrin that in other cities, the MAJORITY of people stick pretty close to the speed limit... except the people who moved there from Houston. )

(Seriously, I'm in San Antonio now, and the speed limit in some places is 65, and I'll be damned, 99% of people adhere to within 5 mph of that posted speed limit.)

I lived for awhile not far from a town in North Carolina called Fuquay-Varina. First thing I thought when I saw the sign for it was "well, if it was spelled like that in Houston, everyone would probably know how to pronounce it."

Yes! and don't forget that you have to explain to people that the proper way to say San Felipe is to pretend you are French (San Felipay), but we forget all about that when we talk about Bissonnet_
