I have no idea of the reciprosity of USA/Pakistan engineering degrees - I just know we have a lot of engineers here from India and Pakistan.

Is it a 4 year degree? I know that there can be some difficulties with 3 year university degrees.

Make sure it is a four year degree or else it will not be accepted! Even with a four year degree you will have to put up a fight with the university to transfer the courses and accept your degree.

Moving from Pakistan to USA you will be bored to death for the first 4-5 months. I really miss Pakistan. You go outside and there was always someone out there on the street.

And prepare yourself to work extremely hard in USA. I often see spoiled Pakistan kids coming to USA and not doing anything. In USA we don't have servants to bring you a cup of tea. You WILL do all the work yourself.

Many engineers from Pakistan are not qualified to work in the US, as the schools are not accredited. So many companies will not hire you. One reason many have pursued advanced degrees.

Job market is very tight and many companies are letting workers go.

>> pakistan's top university

Hhehehe you will soon realize that not even IBA in Karachi which is considered a TOP business school is recognized here. I would suggest that you take admission in Masters in US and tell them you have already done bachelors. Then you can try getting a job on the basis of masters from US.

I find this hard to believe.
