I will be moving for a job at Riverstone Shopping Center in Missouri City and would like to find a somewhat nice (willing to pay up to $750/month for 1/1) within about a 30 minute commute. I have been reading all these posts and it is really confusing of which apartments are safe. Can someone please help me out? Thanks!!

I don't know what the going rate is, but there are some nice apartments/townhomes at the entrance to Sienna Plantation.

Sienna yes...Missouri City Proper, NO! Also Sugar Land is very close by. They have 3-4 nice, reasonable rates. I moved from Missouri City 8 years ago for safety reasons.........

So only Sienna area in Missouri City? The rest of Missouri City isn't as safe? What about Katy/Rosenberg? Thanks for the replies so far!

I know right? It tends to be growing fast. I hope it isn't because of the large Black community since society thinks that Black people and crime go hand in hand.

If you're looking at the Sugarland/MO city (77459)area, you will be fine. That part of Mo city is just like Sugarland and you won't know the difference. What the other posters are referring to is the east side of Mo city. Now that's the part that gets the bad rep. Good luck.

Missouri City seems to have a bit of an identity crisis, it seems.

I wouldn't say that. Every city has good and bad parts.
