Can someone help diagnose my garage door problem?

Moved in to a new house. The garage door openers both controlled the same garage door (2 car garage with separate doors). Tried to make the second garage door learn the codes for the openers, so that both openers would open both garage doors at the same time. Seemed to work initially.

Left for work this morning. Opened both doors by their wall switches, then tried to close with my opener inside the car. One door closed the other stayed opened. Hit the remote again. Now one opened and the other closed. Could have stayed and played that game all morning since the doors were out of sync. Got out, went in to the garage, closed one door by the wall switch and problem solved for the moment.

Here's my question: how do I clear the memory of the garage door opener, so that I can have it learn the code of just one of the remote openers? Or do I need to buy new remotes? I feel like there is a simple solution to this problem, but I just don't know what it is

Thanks

Use google to find an electronic copy of the owner's manual for the brand/model garage door opener you have. There is probably a button on the unit that you have to press and hold to clear the codes then reprogram. An owner's manual will provide the answers that you seek.

That's exactly right. Most all units have a "reset" button on the unit itself.
