Same here. I obtained covenant agreements (most downloaded online) from all neighborhoods that I was interested in and read from cover to cover. It is obvious, though that most people don't even glance at these covenants before or after they move into a community.

This is exactly what I did. I asked for---and received---a copy of the HOA rules while I was still able to get out of the contract.

Almost all of them are like that---if you ask, the seller will get a copy for you. It's not like it's some huge secret.

Will never buy home that has an HOA. Rules are stupid and I'm not paying just so someone can't do what they want with their own home. Don't pick a crap or cheap hood and you don't have to worry about how people maintain their homes. Color doesn't bother me.

Now yer talking. That's PAKISTAN, this is THE USA. Also, the predominant language in Pakistan is Urdu, whereas in the US it's English. Urdu - Pakistan, English - US. Pink house -Pakistan, Nazi (non-pink) HOA - US. Ergo, want a pink house, live in Pakistan. Live in US, don't assume you can speak Urdu and get by. Diversity cuts both ways. You'd probably be pi$$ed if I build three, bland, brick, hardy-plank houses that looked exactly the same around your pink house in Pakistan.

And if you think I'm saying "go home to Pakistan", then you haven't read what I saying or don't understand it or just have a chip on your shoulder.

Easy.

Just sayin'...
