I note that Huntsville actually comes in around 14th for the avg cost of the home rather than 19th.

But once Huntsville was top 10 best places to live, we did not even make to top 100 this year.

The rank is based on housing cost versus avg household income; thus the 19th position versus 14th cost.

Of course, at $140K, it is an Adams home in an integrated Elementary school boundary such as Providence.

For those around here that don't believe in integrated schools or having Alabama A&M graduates as teachers, the average housing price is higher.

So, what you're saying is.... integrated school is bad?

You are in Brussels, Belgium? Please tell us how do you know these things?

I guess I need to change my location soon; will finally arrive in Huntsville in a couple of weeks.

As for integrated school, I only surmise that based on all the bad press that Providence and the other evenly split schools get on this site.

You do know that ALL the public schools are integrated?

And that Huntsville and several other area systems are under a long-standing federal court order to have the same race percentages in every school, and that kids are bused to achieve that percentage?

Great place for housing costs! Especially right in the city-limits area(harvest, etc) you can build new homes there for really good prices and still be close to the city or Arsenal.(and you can set off nice fire-works )
