My family and I are moving back to Huntsville, which is where I grew up. (funny how I did not appreciate Huntsville until I left) Anyway, we are planning on moving to the Grissom district.

My question is, are there any web sites that I can research as to school bus routes?

We would have one child at Grissom, and the second child at Challenger Middle.

Thanks in advance.

Also be aware HCS is in financial trouble, and Dr. Pouncey suggested bus routes be reviewed for some cost-savings.
So, if you haven't moved yet, you still have a choice as to move as close as possible (walking) to school or as far as possible, more than the (current) 2 mile radius. Anywhere between 2.1-3 miles might put you in the 'no bus' zone if they decide to raise the cut-off to 3 miles (or more).

Similar to what Friday just posted, I was gonna say, whatever you learn about bus routes, I would expect that to change. Even school zones I think are not fixed at this point, but if you are living in Challenger area I would think that still safely keep you in the Grissom zone.

Default Relocating Back to Huntsville - School Bus Question

Thanks for the info guys. I mapped out the distance from our house to Challenger - the distance is 2.64 miles.

Looks like we may drive the son to Challenger, while the daughter can ride the bus to Grissom.

Thanks again,

Ed
