The story (published Saturday 4/30) said that TVA's work is proving to be more difficult and time-consuming than anticipated... downed trees and towers have to be cleared before they can rebuild, etc. Only a "trickle" of power may reach HSV late Monday. Their focus is to get power to the water treatment plant and the jail. No word on outlying areas of the county.

Just be thankful its not REALLY hot yet. I went two weeks without power after hurricane Ivan and it was still 95f outside everyday (felt like 105).

3% of power has been restored to HSV Utilities. They are restoring power to business districts that have food, gas stations, and grocery stores. I think I read a report there is power turned on near wall triana and 565.

Anyone know if ATT cellular and data service has been repaired?

When HSV utilities announced 3% they said businesses were first to come up. University around Pulaski and Madison Blvd Integraph to Zierdt. Anyone know the "master plan." Any idea when traffic lights on US72 from Athens to Research Blvd might all be operational?

We skipped town early Thursday morning but will come home tomorrow; would like to be prepared. From HSV utilities map that they haven't updated since Friday Monrovia and Harvest will be last areas operational.

I don't think so. My original info was bad. No power at wall triana, but there is power from Walmart on Madison blvd to ziert rd per this report 3 percent of county with power, officials say, including parts of Madison Boulevard and University Drive | al.com

U would think wall triana would be the first with power with the triana water treatment being a priority.
