We are thinking of leasing an apt. at Sterling Ridge, which is off Shelton Rd. and Madison Blvd. Not being from the area, I don't have much information about safety, accessibility, etc. Does anyone have any input?

I had a buddy who recently lived there. he said it was ok, no real problems. You have a Publix very close, which is a plus.

We don't have a Publix here, but aren't they more expensive? I usually shop at Krogers.

Shopping at Publix is well worth whatever extra 1% it may cost.

I think I remember from about 4 years ago looking at a townhouse in that area that it's really hit or miss. Horrible hellholes and normal places. Not good, imo, though it does have the Madison mailing address.

Probably not as cheap, but those new apartments on Slaughter south of Madison pike are nice. There's to complexes there. I'm sure the one without the amazing landscaping is cheaper than the one with.

I've lived at Colonial Grand at Edgewater and liked it well enough. Maintenance was great. But I got sick of my neighbor's dog poop...though that is a personal issue. But many dog owners like it there due to the grass/pond to walk around.

Actually Publix has a lot of buy one, get one free specials every week. You don't have to buy two to get the special price so essentially it is 50% off those items.

That is a huge plus for Publix. They also double coupons up to face value of 50 cents. So they give you $1 for 50 cent coupon, 90 cents for 45 cent coupon, etc.

The buy one get one free rules are different by states, but you are right for here. In South Florida, where I am from you have to actually buy one to get the second one free.

I love the way it works here. And if you combine coupons with the buy one get one free deals...well worth it!

You have any young age kids? If so, you may want to check the sex-offender location directory.
