Just wanted to hear some thoughts on the local Botanical Garden. It seems SO pricey...maybe I am just cheap, or maybe it's because most cities Ive lived in have free/inexpensive attractions. Is it worth it? I've got myself and two others in my family, at $12 a pop it's a costly trip. Just like to get some opinions please.

Eh, I have been only once to actually tour the garden. At $12 it is pricey. I would only go if you really like that kind of stuff.

The Festival of Lights is the big attraction, it's only at Christmas time, but that is well worth it.

OK thank you. I would like to do something to support local attractions, but not at such a costly expense. Thanks.

Yay! I enjoy the garden, so I have an annual membership which I find to be a good deal versus daily admission.

It depends. If you are a single 20-something, you'll probably give it an "Eh." If your older, perhaps with kids, you'll enjoy it a lot more. My family thoroughly enjoys it. We also enjoy the Galaxy (not Festival) of Lights at Christmastime.

As far as price goes, it isn't any more expensive than a movie and far more enjoyable than most films these days.

We've had a family membership since it first opened, so we have enjoyed watching it grow and evolve. Because we are members, we can go at any time without paying the entrance fee. In fact, we often go for lunch - the chicken salad is excellent and the summer soups are delicious.

I love the Huntsville Botanical Garden as well and consider it one of the gems of Huntsville. But it is way too expensive. Wish the cost could be lowered. I am considering an annual membership. I also am eager to support local attractions.
