Just found out about this place that opened up in Athens on 72 W, past Jefferson.

Got the menu off Urban Spoon, any one been there yet?

Oh man! That looks good. It's a schlep for me, but a nice drive to Athens isn't too bad.

Might have to make it over there when the weather is nice.

Well with the snow, might be safer to go to Venice.

Whichever one of us goes first, they should report back!

I live in East Limestone, so Athens is no issue, plus I have 4-motion and six years of snow driving in Connecticut under my belt

Well if you live in East Limestone and you are hearing "Skip It"

Sounds like I will continue dining at "The Kitchen" and occasionally making it over to "The Factory".

Be wary of any food establishment west of the railroad underpass in Athens. I have no idea why, but the area is "eclectic" (to be kind). When we first arrived in the area, we went to what was advertised as a "Chinese buffet." It was the first Chinese buffet I have EVER been to that had (and I am NOT making this up) pizza, tacos, hamburgers, hot dogs, AND some Chinese dishes. The same place (white building, north side of the road) has changed names numerous times and is now a "bistro" or "grill."

The real Chinese buffet on the south side of the road was fair, but the carpets got too stained (you had to see them to believe them) and it closed a year or two ago.

There is a red building on the north side of the road that has been a steakhouse, Japanese restaurant, Mexican restaurant, and probably a few other things.

Seriously, I'm not surprised that a New Orleans style place opened up. The juju in the area is funkadelic.

I always worry when seafood is in the lower price range, it makes me wonder where they get it from and it sure isn't fresh.
