Anyone know what happened to the Philly Connection on Sullivan Street/Wall-Triana? They were never really busy, but now there's a For Lease sign on the door. They had great wings and the couple who ran the place was really nice. Did they move or go kaput?

Again?!

They went under a few years ago. I was surprised when they reopened. Never anyone in there, I always meant to try it, but the Urbanspoon score was so low and all the personal recs I got told me to not even bother.

Plenty of wings options on that side of Madison!

I use to go all the time in High School! Back when they were the only place in the area that sold Tastykake!

They use to laugh because I never ate there, just got my butterscotch krimpets and be on my way. Nice folks under both administrations.

But Publix AND Wal Mart began carrying them several years ago and I haven't been back since.

I thought their wings were good, and their Philly subs were really good too.

I ate there once during the first run and didnt think much about it. And that location really isnt a good one. You would have to know it was there to even know it was there. Simply passing by isnt as simple as a McDonalds.

Not to mention the traffic pinch point there! It's a nightmare!

Very good point. I can't imagine the chaos that has the potential for happening once that church opens. Hopefully they will be willing to hire MPD to direct traffic.

I went once with my son's baseball team one night after a game. When it was time to leave, they had the front door locked and we couldn't get out. They had to go out the back door, around the building and unlock the door from the outside. Unfortunately, my wife convinced me to not call the Madison City Fire Dept raise holy forking hell. One decision I really regret.

I'll never step through their door again.

If they went out of business, good riddance.
