Beware, I have a strong opinion about this. As we speak, our homeless friends are being moved out of their tent homes under 565. IMHO, it was good shelter and away from populated areas. Simply despicable.

Several people were stabbed there recently, that place seriously needs to go. It's disgusting...

After Tuesday stabbings, spotlight back on plans to relocate 'Tent City' homeless camp under I-565 | AL.com

Yes, the laws of the wild, (reverting back, if you ever left) underlie the good feeling of trying to help people. It always looks a lot cozier from this side.

Two different stabbing events. The post you link to is the first one, where three people were stabbed.

I don't read homeless stabbing news, so I'm not really up on the issue.

Its just moving the problem around. Just like when they moved the rescue mission from 1st street over to Evangel drive. Huntsville doesn't have enough sheltes, and many don't want to stay in shelters.

But the shelters have RESTROOMS/BATHROOMS! That was why I called tent city disgusting...

I seriously hope to see it completely gone!

Was in Big Spring Park last weekend and noticed two homeless guys sleeping on benches. I had never seen that in Huntsville before.

I have seen that too many times there. One reason why we don't go often. These hobos need to do like the Nashville hobos and sell newspapers at crowded red lights, IMHO.
