This is mostly a CA & NY issue as 1,000 and 800 jobs are being pulled out of States. But it also mentioned 175 jobs will be relocated out of Huntsville to MD.

This is the government call center side. I have a friend who will be affected by this. He originally came here from Tampa several years ago with Verizon. If I'm not mistaken I believe they were trying to hire around 60 people this summer for the Huntsville location.

Yeah. My gf worked there for a while and has friends who still work there. It's the government side. Kinda makes sense to move it closer to DC I guess.

This call center specifically supported government clients with technical support ether with service issues or hardware/software issues.

I came back to this thread to ask the same question regarding 'government' call center. I had no idea that there was a special call center strictly for gov't entities. Thanks.

Just a portion of the customer service representatives in Huntsville do government. Many are general customer and others are tech support.
