It would almost have to be if it's of any substantial size. The AC is a really nice building, but it takes up a lot of room. There's not a lot of footprint left, considering all the other things that are supposed to be there.

I almost get the feeling that they're sort of over-planning hotels downtown now, what with the AC, Curio, Embassy Suites, Hampton, this one. Maybe there's a need though.

There is, just happens that they will all be under construction at or around the same time. Over the next few years there may be several more. Last week during the SMD conference there were no vacancies in Huntsville.

Drury Inn & Suites /Space Center is now open. There is also a space on site for a standalone restaurant which has not been announced yet.

Why do I hate the name "Drury Inn"? It sounds depressing to me.

Cool. Never understood why Drury hadn't located here before. I've stayed in them, and they're a nice place for familys to stay, and also good for business travelers. They've built a nice facility here, at the top of their bullding size best I can tell.

Not so easy to pronounce either. But it's a family name.

Sounds like "Dreary"... which is an apt description of the one here on 280. God it's ugly.
