It will be interesting to see if any Frontier service returns to this market. F9 pulls up stakes and leaves at the drop of a hat, so you never know....
We had them for 4 years. It's their own fault due to erratic, unreliable scheduling, failed merger with Spirit and the ongoing pilot shortage that they didn't grow here. With Frontier you can get to Denver easy enough but if you want a connection anywhere further west probably ain't happening. Will they return/ Yes I think so in a year or so after they get their act together. Huntsville isn't or will be the only city that has lost or seen Frontier end service (Newark, Albany, Wichita, Washington/Dulles, to name a few).
On August 2, Frontier Airlines uploaded new information about its schedule between November and January, revealing that it would be cutting more than 4,000 flights, Simple Flying reports. In total, the carrier appears to have dropped 43 routes that were expected to operate over the winter season—with no sign that the company will revive them.
The changes included 32 domestic route cuts, with 84 percent of the changes affecting service to and from Florida.
Perfect opportunity for Breeze (who has their own issues with pilots and aircraft) to fill in the Orlando slot which is one of Huntsville's top destinations.
