Delta is cutting service -- we heard it first on the forum, but now it's in the Huntsville Times front page. Wah! I love Disney--will have to go out Bham or Nville now.

Or just drive there -- cheaper that way.

Not going to Disney is even less stressful.

The last time we attempted to fly Delta to Orlando, they cancelled the flight minutes before take off and made no effort to help passengers rebook. We would have missed two days of our vacation had we stayed with Delta. Instead, we drove to BHM and caught a SouthWest flight. I've been loyal to SWA ever since.

We go at least once a year and rent a house near Disney. You can rent a very nice house with pool, games room, and other amenities for about the cost of one room in the Contemporary or Poly at WDW.

Heck, I didn't even know there were direct flights. Haven't been to DW since 1991. Hubby doesn't care for it. He doesn't care for much of anything that doesn't involve hiking, camping, and sleeping on the ground.

We normally drive to Nashville and catch a direct SWA flight to Orlando. I don't mind driving to Nashville to pay a lot less for a direct flight.

Harry, bite your tongue! Disney World is so much fun! About the only thing I miss about California is my Disneyland annual pass.

Southlander, stay at Fort Wilderness. You can camp AT Disney World!

According to DH, that's not camping. According to his majesty, it's camping when you have to filter your water before you drink it.
I WILL have my revenge, though. Just wait until the grandson is old enough to go!

"Harry, bite your tongue! Disney World is so much fun!"

Not for me. I've not been a fan of rides that sling you around ever since I was a kid and got on a ride where I literally did have to hold on for dear life, since I was small enough that the safety bar was ineffective. I also haven't cared for the Disney construct since the Katzenberg years. BTW, you missed Minnie and Mickey being led off in handcuffs in California recently, due to a labor dispute. I wonder what kids thought of that?

Love Disney! Huge Fan!! Don't need rides--shows are fun, the accomodations are great, and I love all the characters.

Thanks for the top about Bham and the SWA direct connections. We'll look into that for sure!

And about camping: been there and done that--I consider the HOliday Inn camping now LOL I feel for you Southlander!
