engineering position.... (company, required, schedule)

Just thought I would put this out there....

The company that Chris works for is looking for an engineer(any discipline), must be able to obtain interim clearance. 3-5 yrs exp pref'd but not required(masters counts as 1 yr PhD counts as 2).

No relo, contract scheduled to rebid 6/10.

I guess it has been rough filling without relo so they have been asking around and this last round was "do you know anyone that knows anyone...." They have had 2 engineers lined up that weren't able to obtain clearance I didn't think engineers did things like that

They are a great company and when Chris' last contract was lost, they found another spot for him, when he was "bored" at that spot, they promised to look elsewhere and now he has another new spot. They are willing to work with their people. So for now they are calling it "a short term that could turn into more"

Any discipline? That seems odd. Maybe helpful to list responsibilities.

It is contracted as "to be filled with a degreed engineer" but if you ask me it doesn't even need a degree...it is a supplier database creation position. I don't know what I can and can't say, so I am trying not to say too much

I really wish they would offer relo, I could have it filled in 3 days, but that seems to be the big hang-up.

I know there were several people that posted they were in between positions or knew people that were, so if they didn't find new ones, it would be a great gap position with the posibility to stay on in a different more fitting capacity.
