Go down to the "6 Tre G" paragraph for the New York Times' take on Huntsville's "flowering (hip-hop) scene...luscious, futuristic, soul-heavy."

I've heard of 6 tre, and he is from Fatyette Al a small town close to Bham not Hville. He claims Hville because he moved here recently. His sound is similar to a Texas sound but he is unique should've went to Montgomery because he lacks swagg lol, Montgomery has all the Alabama related hip hop gear you can imagine because he wore a lame Alabama hat in his video (probably from Hville). Montgomery hip hop has a sound that is more southern kinda like a mix between Atlanta and the gulf coast. Hville sound is different because of their accents, it's kinda a mix between the south and midwest.

Actually Hsv has a HIP HOP scene. Slowmotion soundz and jackie chain are some of the artist. I can't relate to them though they have a Hsv thing going on with there music. Some of the artist on their label are from down south though.

Huntsville also has a death metal scene and a black metal scene. Neither scene really cares much for the other I have found. However, I'm partial to the more inclusive blackened death scene myself.
