just wanted to know if anyone has lived in va beach and been in a hurricane.
Flooding? Wind?

Most of Hampton Roads is very low lying - lots of rivers and streams. So we get alot of flooding. Other than that, the same typical hurricane stuff.

Oh.... also alot of HR is older neighborhoods which means strong, brick houses and lots of above ground electric, cable and phone. During Isabel, many areas were without power for up to 10 days, but newer areas did fine.
