The nws station in Raleigh recorded a 51 mph gust, airport only 47. Winds are going to be howling tonight, don't understand why but Joe bastardi mentioned it and weather posters elsewhere are talking about the worse winds coming tonight for the coast despite a weakening storm.

Air from interaction with cold front coming behind the storm. And Matthew has pre soaked everything. Going to loose a LOT of tree eastern And se NC tonight.

Doesn't look like as high of wind values after the heavy rain passes as before but this doesn't show gust either.






This wind depiction image is a little out dated as shows storm further down the coast.

Goldsboro recorded 68 mph? It's only 45 minutes due east of here, wondering row it recorded so high compared to surrounding areas.
