1985: Gloria while in Southern NY near the water
2011: Tropical Storm Irene while in CT
2012: Hurricane Sandy while in CT


We've had remnants of many others but those were the memorable ones with a nearby landfall

Disclaimer: We were a Coast Guard family that had lived up and down the East Coast for 26 years. Sometimes we were either on vacation or visiting relatives when a storm hit. Before and after we have remained close to the coast.

Like Cambium I had remnants of many. Isabel (2003) & Floyd (1999) were probably the most remember-able for me. Moved away from the coast about 11years ago though (not because of hurricanes).
