Central Pacific - Akoni forms September 5, 2019 (storms, South, hours, date)

Thurs 5Sept2019 7pEDT/4pPDT/1pHST: Tropical Storm Akoni has formed well SE of Hawaii. Don't get too many forming on their own in Central Pacific, usually E Pacific storms, which retain their name, carried over by trade winds, pass through Central Pacific basin.

Estimated winds 45mph(75km/h), W 7mph(11km/h), pressure 1003mb. Located about 855miles(1380km) SE Hilo, HI.

Expected to steadily intensify and pass South of Hawaii, will watch for any wave or rain action nearby or not as gets closer.

Sat 7Sept2019 - On Friday the storm weakened to a post-tropical Low. Remnants to pass well S of Hawaii has generally heads W or WNW. NHC has low 20% chance of reformation.
