I thnik andrews was the strongest that hit the US in recent times. Many storms actauly have been as bad but noit when they actually made landfall in the uS. We had Rita which was a high cat 3. We had a cat1 last year with 90mph winds.no comparison to Rita at all that had 130mph sustained winds.

I'm watching but do not feel the least bit threatened yet. If I lived coastal I would be watching closer maybe.

She got not only stronger but there seems to be more uncertainty as to where she will travel. I just read on a local news channel that she may wind up back in the Gulf of Mexico again after gaining even more strength in the Atlantic. For now she's got a lot of people guessing.

Southeastern NC got a lot of rain last weekend. I was chatting on the phone with someone who lives there and she said it was just a downpour and the ditches were full of water.

They are calling Fay the "Joker" because she keeps everyone guessing. Should Fay go into the Atlantic and gain strenth and then turn back to Florida due to the high pressure, it would literally travel the entire state!

This has been a hard one to track. They said that the weaker the storm the harder to forecast. Well at least it got us all to prepare.
