Latest info on TD #7 from The Weather Channel

A new tropical depression has formed in the central Caribbean Sea and may soon be Tropical Storm Gustav. The depression, 260 miles SE of Port Au Prince, Haiti, is moving toward the WNW to NW at 15 mph. Gradual strengthening is expected.

The weather channel announced a while ago that Gustav is now a tropical storm with interior winds of 60 mph.

Looks like it will hit Haiti as a strong Cat 1 then disorginize after it goes through the mountainous regions of Honderous, should be one to watch though.

reports from an air force hurricane hunter aircraft indicate that
gustav has become a hurricane with maximum winds near 80 mph...130
km/hr. This change will be reflected in the 5 am edt advisory.

Hmmm... that "track" looks familiar. I just hope Gustav didn't pick up any nasty tricks from Erin... she re-formed over Oklahoma at this time last year and tried to drown us. Oklahoma Climatological Survey
