Hello, I recently bought a used 2016 Kia Soul, which is in overall good shape. However, I noticed that, while the Door-open dash light will come on when the door is open, there is no "chime". What could be the issue? Also are there supposed to be Headlights on and seat-belt chimes also? Thanks for any help!

Our 2014 doesn't have a door open chime. it does have a light on the instrument panel. There is a seat belt chime. Also there's no headlights on chime. I also don't think it has an automatic headlight shut off, but I'm not sure. Those are a necessity, IMO.

Thank you very much! I was starting to suspect that. I agree that those chimes would be a "given" which is why I considered some problem.

Not sure about the Soul but my Forte5 has automatic headlight shutoff regardless of which setting you have selected so there is no chime.

Thanks for the replies! I just assumed every car had those things. Other than that the car is great.
