I do need to correct two things I wrote earlier. Apparently, the alleged perpetrators have been taken into custody. Because of their ages 10 and 14, the records are sealed. I suspect the sealed records contribute significantly to the false story confusion.
Secondly, apparently the City Council meeting once again had the Prosecuting Attorney and TW Cief of Police both saying no Syrians were involved. My apologies for my errors.

Do they somehow think the public feels safer and more in a happy place? This is insane reporting and only shows us they are worried about something.......I am sure it is not Syrian refugees.

3-Shepherds, No, I don't think people feel safer in T. F. County and the surrounding area. That is part of why there was so much criticism of the T.F. City Council as well.
I'm not a position to make a judgement about the juveniles who have been charged with this horrible crime.... Like others here, I have no access to records, laboratory evidence and more.
I do think people in the Magic Valley have reasons to be worried. Isn't Dietrich in that area? With the "alleged crimes" to the Dietrich black youth and now a 5 y.o. raped in T.F. I'd certainly be wondering how come these children are being victimized so brutually by other youth in the area.
If you can find the AP story from the Twin Falls newspaper today, it is worth the read. If anyone has direct access to the T.F. paper please read it. I don't have a subscription and didn't have time to answer all the questions for additional paragraphs.
Do you remember the sickening crime committed around Sept. of last year where the burrow was mutilated and drug by a vehicle etc.? Many of us posted about that as it was so horrific and we know people, follow animals as victims, in the twisted minds of those who abuse.
I hope more answers come out to help residents feel safer. Children deserve and need protection by every adult, in my professional and personal opinion!
