Hi There, Great forum and love to simply get some feedback from those willing to share thoughts. I currently live in WA state on Lake Whatcom and I have an opportunity to move to the Lake Pend area for 2-3 years and would like to rent a home on the Lake or river . Would love to have a dock on property with direct water access to save on the cost of renting slips at a marina. My question is.....Are there any areas that one should concentrate on looking at? I will be driving over to spend a week to look at places. I have seen some of the Prop Mgt places that advertise homes in outlying areas around the lake for prices ranging from $800-$2000 rental homes. Modest suits my taste and not excessive. Plus am concerned as I have read posts regarding the energy costs during winter time for heating and such. Any suggestions on area's to look at would be greatly appreciated. I just drove from Montreal to WA state and found the region to be wonderful in every respect thus my desire to enjoy what Idaho has to offer. Especially as CDA and Spokane are close by should someone need to be in the big city for anything. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Homes in reasonable priced neighborhood on the lake to rent is my goal for 2-3 years. thank you in advance. copes
