We're planning a road trip that includes the Lewiston to Orofino
stretch via Kendrick as we'll taking P1 from there.

Doesn't look as if there's a gas station in Kendrick. What about
places for breakfast or lunch --Archie's Place?

We're open to other locations between Lewiston and Kendrick.

A side trip to the Dent Bridge plus the Glenwood Rd and Kidder
Ridge Rd loop from Kamiah to Kooskia look good. Unfortunately,
it doesn't look as we've time for Grangemont Rd/SH-11 loop.

Thanks for any information!

There is a gas station in the K-J area. Also at least one restaurant. Not sure what it serves or quality. OTOH, if you are coming from Lewiston why worry? It has plenty of both and is only about 25 miles away.

We enjoy stopping in small towns and rural communities during our
road trips. However, it doesn't look as if there's much of anything
in the K-J area. We'll probably have to get fuel and breakfast in
Lewiston or wait until we reach Orofino. Staying on US-12 from
Lewiston to Orofino is another option.

As do I. I strongly recommend taking the back road through K-J to Orofino. It is a great drive. Hwy 12 is good, but this is MUCH better.

Definitely will take that drive through K-J to Orofino. Thanks!

BTW, we stopped for fuel in Moscow on our way north out of
Clarkston to Missoula via Thompson Falls awhile back. Went
to The Breakfast Club only to find it closed that day.

We decided to continue north to Plummer and stopped at the
Gateway Cafe there. Excellent food and service!

There's a great place for lunch or breakfast in Ahsahka by Orofino called the Woodlot Tavern.

You need to be hungry they load your plate up. People are friendly and the food is great.

Woodlot Tavern and Cafe - Ahsahka, ID 83544 - Best of the Web Local
