Just checked into it, and saw Restaurant Temporarily Closed
on their website. The bar is open 4pm-8pm Thursdays according
to their Facebook status updates.

Hopefully, they'll open late Spring/early Summer. It's an excellent
drive btw Kingston and Thompson Falls although one has to keep
an eye out for deer.

Many thanks! Does it overlook the river with patio seating?

I believe the Snakepit may be temporarily closed due to Mrs. Peak's passing:

Shoshone Funeral Service

If anyone is a fan of the movie "Dante's Peak" it looks to me like one of the bar scenes was filmed at the Pit.

My husband and I stopped in last May and had some outstanding huckleberry icecream there and yes, it is a stunning drive!

YUM!!! Those are the burgers!! The Woodlot sits across from the river and I don't believe there's outside sitting, I haven't been there for a few years things could've changed. I've heard the place sold to a couple that liked going there for the burgers, so hopefully that hasn't changed.

Well worth the stop, on a hot riding day it's nice and cool and the beers are cold.
