The land would be hideously expensive but Connecticut is a good area. There are rolling green hills, a decent chunk of humidity and a huge Irish population both locally and in nearby states. There currently are some old timey villages in the area as it is and they've been around for a while so they must've been able to stay afloat somehow. Sturbridge Village on the border with Mass and I think it's Mystic Seaport on the south east coast but they have a throwback to the Whaling industry. The land obviously isnt nearly as cheap but there is a steady influx of paying customers.

The only place in the US that remotely resembles Ireland is, as Sage (and others) said...the coastal Pacific Northwest.
