Hi all,

Just wanted to stop back in now that our trip to Coeur D'Alene is complete. The trip ended up being a little different than expected since one of the family members we were going to see ended up in the hospital just prior to us coming to town, and other family members having more plans and time for us than we expected. We had a great time, though, here are some of the highlights:

- Hiking Tub Hill twice - second time at about 5:30 AM while holding my toddler daughter who never adjusted to the time change...very special time watching the sun clear the mountains from the summit while she slept in my arms.

- Hiking Mineral Ridge

- An afternoon at City Beach in Sandpoint (the Bird Museum was in the plans, but its not open on Sundays)

- 5:30am pastries at Davis Donuts (the whole time change thing again)

- Lunchtime visit to Bayview including getting into the marina and getting to walk by the little floating houses...I've never seen those before!

- Breakfast at Elmer's Restaurant. Hashbrowns were done a little differently than I usually see and they were great!

- Playing with the kids along the Lake Coeur D'Alene beach and in Fort Sherman.

I really wanted to do the float plane ride and a lake cruise, but the timing never quite worked out. Also would have loved to frequent a few more restaurants. We really enjoyed the area though, and I suspect we'll be back to visit the family out there sooner rather than later, so maybe next time!
