Do you feel the waves of AC envy directed at you?

When we were choosing our rental in SP, A/C was a must. With the weather patterns/norms in NID out the window (as well as the whole USA) I will not rent/build/buy a house without A/C. This is just us.......

When we built, we did A/C and heat for both floors. So we're cruising along at 70 degrees in here...sorry, Misty...

Did I mention that ours was CENTRAL AC, so we can have the entire house under 70 in near 100 degree temps if we want?

Thanks for the head's up! I thought maybe we could get away without it in Sagle as opposed to Post Falls but I know it'll be nice to have there given summers like this.

Central heat and air.
I'm originally from Florida, and still can't fathom living in a house without it.

Funny, we are visiting kid/grandkids here in Crescent City where it is foggy and 58.

Question: Do Swamp Coolers (aka: Evaporative Coolers) work okay in NID? or is there too much moisture in the air.

I use a swamp cooler here in the Ca. Sierras where I live at the 4000' elevation and it works great. Up here there is not much moisture in the air, only time you see any moisture is when it snows, rains or is foggy. In twenty years of living where I do I have never seen any dew on the plants. And in the winter it is even worse with the wood stove going, your skin gets really dry, moisturizer is your friend.

It's been blazing hot up here as usual, low to mid 90's.....but not as bad as down in the valley, 100 to 111
